When Anything Seems Possible

There are certain moments when anything seems possible:

When I discover an awesome new song, when I have an epiphany about human nature, when I witness something beautiful (like waves crashing against rocks), and of course, when a new year starts.

2016 is almost upon us, and while the cynic inside me wants to point out that a change in number doesn’t equal actual change change in anything, the idealist in me overrides the cynic.

Why not be excited by the start of a new calendar year? Anything can be a new beginning, no matter how arbitrary the boundary marker. Every day is a new day, a new opportunity, a new start.

So here is to 2016. May it be the start of beautiful things for all of us. :)

Who knows what could be right around the corner?

After living in South Korea for over 7 years, Elizabeth is back in the States finding a new normal. Currently in seminary, she is enjoying unpacking questions of faith in a new context. Amidst the tension of brokenness and conviction, she continues to find grace. And above all else, she continues to pursue the God who inspires childlike wonder.
