Summer Has Arrived!

I went running this morning and almost died.

It felt great in the moment, because although the sun was a little hot, there was nice breeze coming off the ocean and the running path was much less crowded than usual. I could also tell my endurance had improved, which made me happy.

But after I stopped running, climbed the five flights of stairs to my apartment, and then entered the stuffy apartment air, it hit me. My body was overheated. While washing my hands, I looked in the mirror, and my entire face was bright red. Then, as I was standing in my room, I kind of blacked out for a brief second. Fortunately not long enough to lose my balance, but yeah, I couldn’t see anything and it was slightly concerning.

Good thing I bought a fan last week.

I survived the past two summers without AC (somehow), but this year I think I might invest in a unit. If I ever want to go running again, I probably should.
